Duck Around and Find Out!

Nobody knew where the old mallard came from.
He drifted into the swamp one autumn morning with a battered shot gun shell clenched in his bill, a permanent scowl on his face, and the kind of stare that made even the snapping turtles think twice.

The mallard never quacked.
He just stared... and kept chewing on the shotgun shell. One by one, the troublemakers near the pond  disappeared with bruised egos.
A fox limped home missing a few whiskers.
The raccoon swore he'd been chased halfway across the county by "a feathered demon."
The geese suddenly found somewhere else to land.
Soon the swamp had a new saying.
"Duck around..."
"...and find out."
